Updating items in the detail view
In Fintesk, the detail view of deals and contacts contains all of the data pertaining to that item. You also have the ability to edit this information, as well as delete or merge (coming soon) the items.
Updating item details
Changing the name of an item
When in the detail view of contact or deal in Fintesk, click on the name to begin editing. Once you have added the new name, click ”Save” to update your item.
Updating default and custom fields
Any default or custom fields can also be updated in the detail view by clicking on the pencil icon or hovering over the field you want to update.
Changing the value of the deal
When in the deal detail view, click on the value to begin editing. Once your new value is added, click ”Save” for the value to be updated.
If the deal has products added, you will need to adjust the number of products and the value will be calculated automatically.
Deleting and restoring items
Note: Only admin users have the ability to delete or restore contacts in Fintesk.
By default, only admin users in Fintesk can delete deals. If you do not see the option to delete a deal, we would recommend reaching out to the admin user in your account to enable this.
If you do have permission to delete deals in the account, you can do so by clicking the ”...” button and selecting the ”Delete” option from the dropdown menu.
If you wish to restore a deleted deal, simply click on ”Reopen”.
If you wish to restore a deleted contact, click on the ”...” button and select the ”Restore” option.
If you receive the error message ”This item could not be updated” when editing data in your account, the item may have been deleted. You will need to restore this item in order to update it.
