What happens to my billing when I change my billing frequency?

What happens to my billing when I change my billing frequency?

tip

Note: This action is only available to users with billing access set up through User Management.

Any Fintesk user with billing access can opt to change between paying on a monthly cycle or an annual cycle at any point in the billing cycle.

The change will take effect at the beginning of the next billing cycle. The new invoice will also be issued at the beginning of the next billing cycle when the next renewal invoice is issued.

Further subscription changes made before the end of the current billing cycle may override the scheduled billing frequency change.

Monthly to annual

If you change from monthly to annual billing, the changes will take effect at the beginning of the next billing cycle.

Example:

  • A user is on a monthly billing cycle renewed on January 1 and switches from monthly billing to annual billing on January 15.
  • The user will be on the monthly billing cycle for the rest of the billing period and be charged for the annual billing subscription on February 1.

Annual to monthly

If you change from annual to monthly billing, the changes will take effect from the next renewal date.

Example:

  • A user is on an annual billing plan renewed on January 1 and switches to monthly billing on June 30.
  • The user will keep the annual billing cycle with the associated discount for the rest of the billing period and be charged for the monthly billing subscription on January 1 (of the following year).
